1. Welcome to Our Creative Circle
At Dadi Design studio (Prvomajska 10, 40320 Donji Kraljevec, Croatia, email: contact@dadi-design-patterns.com), your trust is just as important to us as a perfectly executed stitch on a new skirt. When you visit our creative corner at https://dadi-design-patterns.com, we want you to feel completely safe and relaxed.
This Privacy Policy explains how we care for your data in compliance with the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). By using our website, you acknowledge these terms—but don’t worry, there are no hidden legal traps here. Our goal is absolute transparency, genuine craftsmanship, and pure digital peace.
2. Less is More: The Data We Actually Collect
Because we believe in minimalism and digital hygiene, we only collect what is necessary to deliver your patterns, comply with the law, or provide you with relevant creative content if you choose to receive it:
- Your Contact & Invoicing Information: Your name, email address, country, city, and postal code. To keep things as minimalist as possible, we do not require your exact street address or phone number. We retain your country, city, and postal code solely to ensure your invoice is legally valid under EU tax and digital goods regulations. Your email serves as the primary digital address where your download links and invoices are sent.
- Payment Information: When you purchase a pattern, your payment is processed directly through secure, certified third-party providers (Stripe or PayPal). Dadi Design never sees, collects, or stores your credit card details on our server.
- Your Account (“My Account”): If you create an account, we keep your username, encrypted password, and digital download history so you can re-download your patterns whenever inspiration strikes.
- Basic Technical & Interaction Data: Our server automatically logs standard technical data (such as your IP address) exclusively for security and defense against bots. If you grant explicit consent via our cookie banner, we also collect pseudonymized interaction data (such as viewed patterns or completed purchases) via the Meta (Facebook) Pixel.
3. How We Collect Your Data
All personal data we hold comes directly from your conscious actions, when you:
- Download our free Hobo Bag or purchase a skirt pattern.
- Register an account for easier access to your files.
- Subscribe to our newsletter to receive warm letters and sewing updates.
- Choose to accept marketing cookies in our cookie preferences banner.
Our website is not directed at anyone under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.
4. Why We Process Your Data (Legal Basis)
We process every piece of data under a strictly defined legal basis according to the GDPR:
- Pattern Delivery (Contractual Necessity – Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): We need your email address to automatically deliver your PDF sewing files, provide receipt confirmations, and manage your account.
- Tax and Accounting (Legal Obligation – Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR): We are required by law to maintain purchase and invoicing records to comply with Croatian and EU fiscal regulations.
- Your Explicit Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR):
- Warm Letters & Newsletters: Sent to your inbox only if you voluntarily tick the subscription box.
- Meta (Facebook) Pixel & Analytics: Activated only if you select “Accept” or enable marketing cookies via our Complianz consent banner.
5. Who We Share Data With (Only Trusted Helpers)
Your personal data is never sold, rented, or traded. We share data strictly with trusted service providers necessary to run our studio and fulfill your orders:
- Stripe & PayPal: Secure payment gateways processing your transactions safely.
- Omnisend: Our digital postman, used to reliably send your purchased patterns and newsletters.
- Wordfence & Hosting Provider: Our security infrastructure, protecting the site against malicious attacks and unauthorized access.
- Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. (Facebook / Instagram): If you grant marketing consent via our cookie banner, the Meta Pixel shares pseudonymous activity data (such as page visits and purchase events) with Meta. This helps us measure the reach of our sewing tutorials and show relevant patterns to creators on Facebook and Instagram. Meta processes this data under standard contractual clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission for cross-border transfers.
6. Your GDPR Rights (You Are in Control)
European data protection law gives you complete control over your personal information:
- Right of Access: You can ask us at any time to verify what personal details we hold about you.
- Right to Rectification: If there is a typo in your name or email, let us know and we will correct it immediately.
- Right to Erasure (“Right to be Forgotten”): You can request the complete deletion of your account and personal data from our systems (excluding records we are legally required to keep for accounting and tax purposes).
- Right to Withdraw Consent:
- For newsletters: Click the “Unsubscribe” link at the bottom of any email to remove yourself instantly.
- For the Meta Pixel: Open the cookie preferences banner on our website at any time and disable Marketing cookies.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at contact@dadi-design-patterns.com and we will resolve your request within 30 days.
7. Data Retention
We retain personal data only as long as required for the purpose it was gathered. Account details remain active until you ask us to delete them. Invoices and transaction records are stored for the retention periods mandated by Croatian accounting laws. Once these legal retention periods expire, your data is permanently deleted.
8. Security First
Our website enforces SSL/TLS encryption across all pages (indicated by the lock icon in your browser address bar) to protect information transmitted between your device and our server. While no internet transmission is 100% immune, we apply rigorous administrative and technical safeguards to keep our studio secure.
9. Supervisory Authorities
If you believe that your personal data has not been processed in accordance with the law, please reach out to us first so we can address your concerns. You also hold the legal right to submit a complaint directly to the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency (Agencija za zaštitu osobnih podataka – AZOP, www.azop.hr) or your local EU supervisory authority.
